In August 2005, China Arnold got into a dispute with her boyfriend, Terrell Talley.

The two were arguing about the paternity of their newborn daughter, Paris Talley, who was only 28 days old.

Arnold took her anger out on Paris. She put the newborn in the microwave for 2 minutes before taking her out. The child died within seconds due to the high heat.

The next day, Arnold and her boyfriend took the stiff newborn to the hospital. She was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Arnold but released her due to lack of evidence. After further investigation, they were able to lock her up again in November 2006.

Her first trial was declared a mistrial. At a second trial, she was convicted of aggravated murder and sentenced to life, but an appeals court reversed the conviction.

She was convicted of aggravated murder again at a third trial on May 13, 2011.

She received life without the possibility of parole on May 23rd, 2011.

She is serving her sentence at Dayton Correctional Institution in Dayton, Ohio.
