On July 4th, 2020, 23-year-old Lauren Wambles, who performed under Aubrey Gold, was with her boyfriend, William Shane Parker, Jeremie Peters, and Raul Guillen.
For unknown reasons, Parker and Peter began talking about killing Guillen. Parker took action and shot the 51-year-old in the back of the head. Guillen wasn’t dead, but he was buried alive and left to die.
His daughter reported him missing soon after he disappeared. Police got a tip from a woman who had previously accused Parker of violating her that she believed he killed Guillen.
Police learned that Guillen was last seen at Peter’s home. They went to the home to investigate, and cadaver dogs led them to the body in a three-foot grave not far from the house.
Wambles, Parker, and Peter were soon arrested. Wambles pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in October 2021.
She testified against Peters at his trial. He was convicted of accessory after the fact and conspiracy to commit tampering. A judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
Wambles also testified against Parker. A jury convicted him of murder and tampering with evidence, and a judge sentenced him to life in prison without parole.
Wambles is scheduled to get out on April 23rd, 2029.
