Murder of Stan Cohen
Twenty-four-year-old Joyce Cohen married 40-year-old millionaire Stan Cohen in 1974. After more than a decade, the marriage fell apart, and the couple was close to divorce,
On March 7th, 1986, Joyce called 911, claiming three intruders had broken in and killed her husband.
Later that year, Frank Zuccarello was arrested for a bunch of burglaries and claimed Joyce hired him and two other men to kill her husband,
Joyce and the two other men involved in the crime were also arrested.
Zuccarello got a deal and did 2.5 years.
The other two men pleaded no contest. One got 40 years, and the other got 30. Both are now free.
Joyce went to trial, and the prosecution claimed her husband threatened to divorce her, so she got rid of him.
She was convicted of first-degree murder in 1989 and sentenced to 25 years to life.
She remains behind bars.
