Murders of Anthony Jones and Glen Palmer
Kendrick Antonio Simpson met up with some friends on January 15th, 2006, to party. Sometime after midnight, they went to a nightclub.
Simpson walked around while his friends got a table. Reports say he walked past 19-year-old Anthony Jones, 20-year-old Glen Palmer, and a third man, and one of them made a comment about the Chicago Cubs hat he was wearing.
Simpson walked away but returned, allegedly telling Jones, Palmer, and the third man he would chop them up.
Simpson walked away again but returned and tried to shake hands with the men. Palmer socked him in the mouth.
Simpson and his two friends left the club and met some women in the parking lot. They all went to a nearby store.
Soon, Jones, Palmer, and the third man arrived at the same store in a Chevy. When they left, Simpson ordered the driver to follow them and the other friend to hand him his gun.
Simpson fired dozens of shots at the Chevy. Palmer and Jones died, while the 3rd man survived.
Simpson’s homeboys received 20 years in prison for their roles in the crime. Simpson will get the needle on February 12th, 2026.
