Crime

Katrina Lynn Danforth performed in a few adult films under the name Lynn Pleasant between 2005 and 2010.

By 2018, the 31-year-old was living a quiet life in Idaho. Out of the blue, she started looking for someone to kill the father of one of her children.

One of her acquaintances went to the cops. The police gave him a business card to pass along to Danforth, which he did.

The ex-adult star called the number and walked right into an undercover operation.

Danforth met the fake hitman in October and November 2018 to discuss the hit and gave him detailed instructions.

She did not want the body hidden or disposed of; she wanted it to be easy to find.

She didn’t care if anyone else in his home got hurt as long as it wasn’t her kid.

Weeks after their last in-person meeting, she sent the fake hitman a thank-you card and $2,500. The FBI arrested her in December 2018.

Legal Proceedings

In August 2019, Danforth pleaded guilty to two counts of using interstate commerce to facilitate murder for hire.

Six months later, a judge sentenced her to 10 years in federal prison and three years’ probation.

In April 2021, she tried to get a compassionate release during the pandemic. She claimed that with her obesity and asthma, she had a high likelihood of dying if she got the virus. The court denied her request, and she remained behind bars.

She is currently in a halfway house in Seattle, WA, and will be released on July 24th, 2026.
