Crime
A woman staying at a motel in Kissimmee, Florida, ordered $33 worth of food from a pizza place on the night of December 22nd, 2024.
When the pizza arrived, she tipped the delivery driver two dollars. The delivery driver rolled her eyes and walked away without saying thank you.
The unhappy delivery driver decided to get revenge for the light tip, so she went and picked up a male friend who was armed with a gun.
They returned to the motel and busted into the light tippers’ room. The delivery driver pulled out a knife and stabbed the woman over a dozen times.
She and her accomplice fled the area with money and other valuables.
The woman called 911 and was taken to the hospital, where she learned she was pregnant. She had to have emergency surgery. She survived the strange incident, but her unborn baby did not.
Arrests
A day after the attack, the delivery driver, Brianna Alvelo, was arrested and charged with premeditated murder, kidnapping, home invasion, and aggravated assault. She reportedly told police his name was Manuel “Santiago”, but her jail phone calls revealed she repeatedly asked her mother about a man named Hector.
Her alleged accomplice, 28-year-old Hector Manuel Martinez-Figueroa, was arrested on January 15th, 2025. He was also hit with charges of premeditated murder, home invasion, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.
On January 30th, 2026, Alvelo was also hit with charges of burglary with assault and battery and tampering with a witness, victim, or someone else involved in the case.
Both Martinez-Figueroa and Alvelo are awaiting trial.
