Talecka Brown Attempted Murder Case
On September 23rd, 2024, a 13-year-old girl returned to her Seat Pleasant, Maryland, home after school, but things took a dark turn as she and her mother, 32-year-old Talecka Brown, got into an argument that got physical.
It’s unclear what the argument was about, but as the 13-year-old turned and walked away, her mother shot her in the neck.
The teen was still alive, and the mother called for help.
Fearing arrest, she told her daughter to lie and tell authorities that an intruder entered the home and shot her.
The police went to the home at around 4:50 pm, and the daughter complied with her mother’s wishes.
After viewing cameras in the neighborhood and putting a little pressure on the mother and daughter, authorities quickly determined that Brown was the shooter.
She was arrested for first-degree attempted murder. She was held without bond as the prosecutors feared she would try to manipulate her daughter to stop talking or not show up in court.
so she could beat the case.
