On June 17th,2024, 34-year-old Tyshael Elise Martin contacted 911 and told them that her boyfriend’s 9-year-old daughter, Jamaria Sessions, wouldn’t wake up.
When authorities arrived at the family’s Monteverde, Florida home, they saw Jamaria naked, with bruises, burns, bite marks, and wounds covering her entire body. Some were old, and some were more recent.
Investigators recovered thousands of surveillance videos from inside and outside the home. Before midnight on June 15th, 2024, they saw Martin holding her 100-pound rottweiler on a leash and imploring him to bite Jamira.
Later, Martin dragged Jamaria by her hair and forced her to stand with her arms in the air. When she fell to the ground, she was kicked in the stomach and shoulder multiple times.
During the recording, Martin said, “I’m fixing to kill her.”
Jamaria did die from the brutal beating. Her cause of death was blunt force injuries to her head and torso.
Martin was charged with murder, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
Jamaria’s father, 27-year-old LoJuna Session, is in jail on aggravated manslaughter charges.
