On June 6, 2023 Kristal Candelario headed out of town for vacation. First to Detroit and then to Puerto Rico.
Sadly the married mother decided to leave her 16 month old daughter Jailyn behind in the home by herself.
After 10 days Candelario returned home and found her child unresponsive. She called 911 and the little girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
Candelario has been in prison since last summer. She plead guilty to aggravated murder and endangering children. She will be sentenced next month.
Sentenced to life without parole on March 18, 2024.
