Jessica M. Mauthe was evicted from a home in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, in August 2025.
The homeowner was cleaning up the place on September 13th. She noticed a horrible smell coming from a closet, and upon investigating, she found the body of a decomposing baby inside a plastic bag.
She called 911, and when the police arrived, they searched the home and found two tote bags in the attic. Each one had a dead baby in it.
Mauthe was brought in for questioning and admitted to having given birth to the baby found in the closet a year earlier.
She also admitted that the two babies found in the attic were hers.
The 39-year-old was charged with one count of homicide and abuse of a corpse for the baby that was born last year.
She could face additional charges in the deaths of the other two, depending on the autopsy results. She is currently being held in jail without bond.
