Crime
Arianna Selina Gajraj dated Brandon Pirela for about a year before they broke up in the fall of 2023.
The couple stayed in communication and eventually started plotting to kill one of Gajraj’s friends. Pirela thought that man was messing with Gajraj.
Days after Pirela and Gajraj got back together, she lured her friend to a deserted area and sent Pirela the location. He showed up in a white Camry, wearing a mask, then hopped out and fired 20 shots at Gajraj’s friend.
The intended victim was able to throw the vehicle in reverse. He got away unharmed even though Pirela gave chase.
The intended victim dropped Gajraj off, then he reported the incident to the police.
Authorities linked the car to Pirela. They also found a threatening message Pirela sent before the crime.
Gajraj and Pirela were charged with attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
Legal Proceedings
Gajraj pleaded guilty to both charges and only received 36 months in prison and 6 years of probation.
She was recently checked in at the Florida Women’s Reception Center in Marion County, FL. After a few weeks there, she was sent to Lowell Women’s Work Camp in Ocala, FL. That is a minimum-security prison that focuses on rehabilitation and allows people to work outside the prison.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections, she is scheduled to be released on July 7th, 2027.
