Crime

At just after 10 am on March 2nd, 2022, coworkers Christopher Track and Prince Nedd got into a dispute about hashbrowns at a Phoenix area McDonald’s where they both worked.

The two 16-year-olds went to the bathroom to settle the dispute with a fist fight. Nedd got the best of Track during the altercation.

He taunted his coworker after the beatdown. He then turned his back to return to work.

Unable to take the humiliation from losing the fight, Track pulled a weapon from his bag and shot Nedd in the back.

Track’s coworkers and customers who were in the restaurant at the time feared a mass shooting was about to take place, but Track fled the restaurant without hurting anyone else.

People attended to Nedd and called medical personnel, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Track was nowhere to be found for several days, but on March 7th, 2022 he turned himself in to police.

He was held in jail on a $1 million dollar bond.

A year and a half later, Track pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

You’re probably thinking he got decades in prison for the violent and cold-blooded murder, but you would be wrong.

Track was able to use childhood trauma and mental health issues as an excuse for his actions. He apparently grew up in a violent home with psychological struggles.

He is also said to be on the spectrum of schizophrenia.

At sentencing, her spouse said, “Prince didn’t deserve what happened to him.” he added, “I know his family’s heartbroken, like my family would have been if it were me.”

The prosecution wanted him to get 16 years, but he received just 12 years.
