On Christmas Day 2013, Connie Villa was scared that her ex-husband was going to take her four children away.
She invited him over to visit the children. When the father of her three youngest children arrived, Villa attacked him and stabbed him multiple times.
Somehow, he managed to get away and sped to the hospital.
After her ex got away, Villa gave her three youngest children a substance to ingest, hoping that it would kill them.
She tried to give the substance to her 13-year-old daughter, but the teen refused to take it, so Villa smothered the young girl to death.
Police went to the home and found Villa with her three youngest children unconscious nearby.
The deranged mother had stabbed herself multiple times. She and her three youngest kids were taken to the hospital, and they all survived. The ex-husband also survived.
On July 7th, 2017, Villa pleaded guilty to several murders, four counts of attempted murder, four counts of child abuse, and one count of kidnapping.
She was sentenced to life without parole plus 155 years.
