Sexual Assault of a Marklund Hyde Center Resident
23-year-old Isaiah Fields worked as a caregiver at the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, Illinois, where his job was to tend to the most vulnerable—including a 43-year-old woman who had lived there for nearly 20 years.
She suffered from Rett Syndrome, leaving her unable to speak, read, write, or stand.
Her mind functioned at the level of an infant.
Between August 1 and September 5, 2023, Fields violated her. He knew she couldn’t tell anyone, and he thought his secret would be safe.
The former Streetbeefs fighter never realized his choice to forgo protection would come back to haunt him.
Fast forward to April 2024, and the woman was hospitalized for liver and gallbladder issues. Doctors made the shocking discovery that she was 31 to 35 weeks pregnant. An emergency Caesarean section was performed. A boy named R.J. was born but died after 11 weeks.
Investigators tested DNA from current and past Marklund Hyde Center male staff members. Fields’ DNA was a match, and the pervert was arrested in May 2024 and held in the Kane County Jail.
Legal Proceedings
Knowing the evidence was stacked against him, he pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual assault on January 14, 2025, with the sentencing guidelines set between six and 30 years.
He returned to court on March 14, 2025, and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
He must serve at least 85% of his sentence.
He will also be on the sex offender registry until he dies.
