Murder of Melvin Noble AKA MO3

Rapper MO3 was well known throughout Texas and was making a name for himself on a larger scale after doing songs with Louisiana Legend Boosie Badazz, Kevin Gates, and many other notable artists.

Aside from his music, Noble was also well known for his conflicts with other rappers, notably Trap Boy Freddy, real name Devarius Dontez Moore, and Yella Beezy, real name Markies Deandre Conway.

According to NBCDFW, Conway was three times in October 2018 while he was driving on a tollway in the Dallas suburb of Lewisville. He survived, and Noble took to social media to taunt him. This led many people to suspect that Noble may have had a role in the shooting, but he was never arrested or charged with a crime, and the shooting is still unsolved.

The feud between the three rappers seemed to be escalating as they traded jabs in songs.

Murder of M03

According to NBCDFW, Noble spent the night of November 10th, 2010, at his girlfriend Jocylynn Jackson’s place at the Arroyo Apartments complex in Dallas. When he left her apartment the next day at around 11:40 am, he was driving a Honda Accord. Someone in a Black Camaro was waiting for him and followed him onto Interstate 35 East.

Noble realized he was being hunted, and with nowhere to go, he decided to stop on the Interstate near Marsalis Avenue. The Camaro stopped several yards in front of Noble’s Honda. Noble walked around to the passenger side, opened the door, and began to reach for a gun. At the same time, a masked man with an assault rifle got out of the driver’s side of the Camaro and shot at Noble.

Noble was unable to grab his weapon and was forced to run for his life. The gunman gave chase, and when he caught up, he started shooting. He fired at least 44 times, and Noble was hit 13 times. A bystander in another vehicle was also hit, but they survived.

With Noble down, the gunman ran back to his vehicle and got away. Noble, 28, died at the hospital, leaving behind three kids.

Aftermath

When the news hit the airwaves that Noble had been gunned down, his rival, Moore, posted a video on social media of himself on the highway near the crime scene. He complained about the traffic and wondered aloud what was causing the delays.

Many fans immediately speculated he was involved, but ultimately, he was never charged with anything.

Speeding Arrest

A grey Dodge Challenger was pulled over on the night of November 23rd, 2020, for going more than 100 miles per hour. 21-year-old Kewon Dontrell White was behind the wheel, and a female and her dog were in the passenger seat. Inside the car, the authorities found an AK-47 rifle, a handgun, ammo, marijuana, and THC edibles. They also found thousands of dollars inside White’s pockets and a receipt showing a purchase exceeding $3,000 the day before at an Arlington jeweler.

This wasn’t the first time the convicted felon had been caught gun he wasn’t supposed to have. According to Justice.gov, on August 16th, 2020, he committed a traffic violation while on a dirt bike in Lancaster, Texas. When authorities tried to pull him over, he refused to stop and fled. After crashing, he tried to run, but the police caught up and arrested him.

White was soon linked to the murder of Noble, and he was arrested on capital murder charges on December 9th, 2020. His homeboy, Devin Brown, was also arrested, with authorities saying he was in the car with White at the time of the murder.

White was also hit with one count of felon in possession of a firearm. He resolved the gun case in May 2022 when he pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. In November 2022, he was sentenced to 105 months in federal prison.

Yella Beezy Arrested

Markies Conway

In March 2025, authorities arrested Markies Conway AKA Yella Beezy, alleging he paid White $40,000 to kill Noble. Since the arrest took so long, many suspected that White or Brown confessed they were involved in the crime and decided to help prosecutors in exchange for a lighter sentence, but that turned out to be false.

Kewon White’s Capital Murder Trial

White went to trial in August 2026, maintaining his innocence. The prosecution had a very strong case. They had surveillance footage of White outside a home in the days before and after Noble’s murder. White looks to be holding an AK-47, which appeared to be the same one the shooter was carrying when he chased down MO3 on the highway. The same black Camaro used in the murder was also on surveillance.

White’s underwear also played a big role in the case. MO3’s killer was sagging and had light blue underwear. Footage around White’s home saw him wearing the same underwear for several days before and after the crime.

Prosecutors had footage of him paying a $300 debt payment two weeks in advance on the night MO3 was killed, reducing his payment balance to $2,130. He also had a receipt in his vehicle showing he purchased $3,250 worth of jewelry on November 22nd, 2020, the day before he was pulled over for speeding.

Authorities presented this evidence to show that he had come into some money after the murder, indicating he was compensated for committing the crime.

Testimony of Jocylynn Jackson

Jackson was dating MO3 at the time of his death, and he was at her apartment the night before he was killed, according to NBCDFW. Jackson also has kids with Devin Brown. She testified that her son communicated with Brown several times the night before Mo3 was killed.

Testimony of Cedric Bradley

One of White’s buddies, Cedric Bradley, took the stand against him, NBCDFW reported. Some thought his testimony was damning, while others didn’t think he was credible. He said that he and White were like cousins.

Bradley said he was part of a rap group called the Get Rich Cartel (GRC) in high school. Also in the group were Devin Brown, Jerry Johnson, Theodore Thomas, and Conway. He said White wasn’t in the group.

Bradley and Johnson in GRC drifted away from rap and started selling drugs, and eventually got caught in 2023. Bradley was questioned three times, with authorities believing he may have had information about the Mo3 murder because he knew Brown, White, and Conway.

He stuck to the code and refused to snitch, but after seeing Johnson get 27 years, he reached out to the prosecutors in July 2026, telling them that White confessed to him that he killed Mo3. He met with them on July 10th and August 14th.

Bradley testified that he and White were hanging out a week or two after the crime when White said he did the shooting on the highway and was waiting to get paid. He also talked about his plans to get a new weapon. However, White didn’t specify who he was expecting to be cutting him a check.

The defense said he lied about the conversation in exchange for the possibility of a lighter sentence.

Trial Outcome

The defense tried to confuse witnesses and make them look less credible. In the end, the evidence was overwhelming, particularly the surveillance video of White in possession of the AK-47 before and after the murder, and the black Camaro before the murder.

According to CBSNews, the jury convicted him of Capital Murder on September 4th, 2020. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Kewon White Confesses

Just weeks after being convicted of murder, White did an interview with the YouTube channel Cam Capone News. White confessed to killing Noble and said he waited outside Jackson’s apartment for 18 hours before chasing him down on the freeway and killing him. He said it was not a murder for hire, and he killed Noble for personal reasons.

Torrence Hatch

White also took credit for the November 14th, 2020, shooting of Louisiana-born rapper Boosie Badazz, real name Torrence Hatch. Hatch was close with Noble, and after Noble was killed, Hatch went to Dallas for his funeral. While Hatch and his crew were at Big T Plaza, shots rang out, and he was hit in the leg. Hatch did not cooperate with the investigation, though many suspected he was targeted for trying to come into town like he was running shit.

The injuries were not life-threatening. After spending a week in the hospital, Hatch was seen using a scooter and crutches before making a full recovery.

Appeal

Despite his confession, White hopes to win an appeal. He feels that the prosecutors did not prove murder-for-hire. He is currently being held in a Dallas County jail. He will be transported back into federal custody to serve out the rest of his 105-month sentence for unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. That sentence is set to end on August 2nd, 2028.

He is hopeful that he can win his appeal and walk free once that sentence is complete.
