Linda and Jack Jones were married for thirty years. During that time, they had two daughters and eventually bought their dream home in Lake Asbury, Florida.

By the mid-1990s, the couples kids had moved out, and Linda took in a high school senior with whom she had worked.

She later learned that the girl and her husband were having an affair and threw the girl out.
