Crime
16-year-old Logan Kruckenberg Anderson became a father on January 5th, 2021, when his daughter Harper was born.
Soon after, he left the house with the newborn, and no one saw her again.
The father of his then-girlfriend contacted authorities, telling them his daughter gave birth in a bathtub and that Anderson left with the baby and did not return.
When Anderson was questioned, he claimed to have communicated with a man named on Snapchat who was going to take the child to an adoption agency.
His story didn’t add up, and after more questioning, he allegedly admitted to covering her with snow, then shooting her twice in the head.
Someone handed over the gun to authorities, providing additional evidence for prosecutors.
Anderson was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and pleaded not guilty.
Harper’s mother was not charged with a crime.
The now 21-year-old went to trial in October 2025. He was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding the corpse of a child.
He was recently sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of extended supervision after 45 years.
