Background

Manuel Ruiz  was a Las Vegas YouTuber with a solo channel, Sin City Manny, and a second channel with his wife, Julie, called Sin City Family.

In October 2023, another YouTuber, Finny the Legend, real name Rodney Finley, and his wife Tanisha, were visiting Las Vegas from Arizona.

While on Fremont Street, Manny reportedly got an attitude with a woman who recorded him. Tanisha heard about this and put her camera in Manny’s face, as some odd way to defend the other woman.

Manny pushed Tanisha’s gimbal out of his face. She retaliated by hitting him, and from there, all hell broke loose. Other people got involved, and Manny pepper-sprayed Tanisha and several others.

Rodney, unhappy about what Manny did to his wife, wanted an apology, but when Manny refused, Rodney started making videos and live streams bashing Manny.

He would talk about Manny, comment on Julie’s physical appearance, accuse them of abandoning their kids to party, and say he had proof that Manny was cheating. His subscribers would egg him on.

The beef continued for years, and their conflict included copyright and community guideline strikes against each other’s channels.

Some of Manny’s subscribers started turning on him and supporting Rodney. The strikes on Manny’s channel and the declining support started to affect his money.

Manny had no interest in returning to a regular job, and in one instance, he made a shooting gesture at the camera, making threats about what he planned to do to Rodney.

Things got physical in April 2025 when Rodney and Tanisha were back in Vegas and on Fremont. Rodney claimed that Manny bumped into him. Manny ended up in handcuffs for the alleged incident.

Rodney later joked about the encounter, calling Manny gay for touching his butt.

Alleged Murder

Rodney returned to Vegas with his wife in June 2025.

Manny livestreamed himself on June 6th, driving around looking for Rodney and Tanisha, but they were living their lives, unaware of the danger they were in.

Manny and Julie went to the Vegas strip to livestream on the night of June 7th, 2025. The Finleys were there at the same time, livestreaming as well.

Manny and Rodney crossed paths near the Bellagio fountains, and Manny allegedly pulled a gun and fired multiple shots at Rodney.

As Tanisha screamed and grabbed her cellphone, Manny allegedly turned the gun on her, firing two more times. Both Rodney and Tanisha died at the scene.

Manny turned himself in the next day, telling police the shooting was self-defense. He lawyered up after he learned that everything was captured on the Finleys’ live stream.

Manny is being held without bond. He is expected to go to trial on August 17th, 2026. If convicted, he could be sentenced to death.
