When Marjorie Orbin was 24 she had a relationship with 26 year old Jay Orbin but it didn’t work out.
10 years later she was back living in Vegas and I got a call from Jay out of the blue.
He told her he was in town and saw her on a billboard, and he wanted to see her again. The two met up and had a great time.
Their relationship continued when he went back home. After a short time they eloped.
Their union produced a child, but soon the love faded. Marjorie was ready to move on.
On September 8th, 2004 it was Jay’s birthday and he had just arrived home from a business trip. Instead of surprising him with a cake, Marjorie surprised him with a bullet to the head.
She put his body in bins and dumped them in the desert.
On October 23rd someone discovered one of the bins and contacted police.
Authorities identified the body parts as Jay Orbin.
Marjorie was arrested on December 6th 2004. A jury convicted her of first degree murder, two counts of theft and two counts of fraudulent schemes. She was sentenced to life without parole on October 1, 2009.
