Emily Nutley was a married mother who worked as a school counselor at a Catholic high school in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was supposed to help the most at-risk students.
However, she crossed the line in the fall of 2023 when she started hooking up with a 17-year-old. They hooked up in her office on multiple occasions. She gave the boy a monthly allowance, gave him test answers, and sent him nude photos.
She also threatened to off herself if the boy stopped seeing her.
The student came forward in the fall of 2024, and she ended up in handcuffs.
Her husband filed for divorce a few weeks later.
She pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery on April 7th, 2025.
Her victim wanted her to get 10 years, while the prosecution asked for 5 years.
Nutley had hoped for probation, but on June 23rd, 2025, she was sentenced to three years in prison and five years of probation.
She will be on the sex offender register for life.
She is serving her sentence at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville, Ohio. She is scheduled to be released on June 9th, 2028.
