Murder of Glenn Turner
According to PEOPLE, Glenn Turner married Lynn Womack in 1993, but they didn’t live happily ever after. While Glenn worked overtime as a police officer in Cobb County, Georgia, Lynn would disappear. The relationship went downhill, and by 1995, they were going through a divorce.
The pending divorce didn’t ease Glenn’s mind, and according to Justia, he told two friends that if he ended up dead, Lynn would likely be the one behind it. He planned to make his getaway from Lynn by moving out on the weekend of March 3rd, 1995. Unfortunately, he became sick before he could move. He was so sick that he went to a nearby hospital complaining of nausea and flu-like symptoms.

The hospital treated him for dehydration and gave him some medicine for his nausea, then they released him. Glenn returned home, and the next day, Lynn served him some green Jello. It seemed like a nice gesture. Glenn devoured the Jello while Lynn left the home. Glenn was unaware that Lynn had been poisoning him and had also laced the Jello with antifreeze. The final dose of poison he consumed quickly took effect, and within hours, he was dead.
One of Glenn’s coworkers, Mike Archer, told PEOPLE in 2002, that he was suspicious of Lynn and expressed his concerns to the head of homicide.
Despite seeing signs of antifreeze, the Cobb County medical examiner ruled that Glenn died of natural causes from a heart issue. Lynn got away with murder and pocketed nearly $250,000 from insurance policies and Glenn’s estate.
Murder of Randy Thompson
Lynn was cocky and bold and didn’t care what other people in the town thought. She didn’t spend months putting on a show and pretending to grieve. Instead, she put the home she and Glenn share on the market, and she moved in with Randy Thompson four days after burying Glenn. She and Thompson had been knocking boots when she was married to Glenn.
According to PEOPLE, Thompson was a cop-turned-firefighter and a single father with a son from his first marriage. As the years passed, he and Lynn seemed like a perfect couple, and they went on to have a daughter, Amber, in 1996, and a son, Blake in 1998. But Thompson’s dad would later say, “It was a love-hate relationship from the get-go. They’d fight all the time.”

The couple never married, and by 1999, they were separated. Lynn got away with murder once before, and she decided to try again. According to Justia, on January 19th, 2001, she had dinner with Thompson. Hours later, he was sick, and he went to the hospital the next day. They treated him and released him, and he returned home. The next night, she handed Thompson a bowl of green Jello. He was found dead the next morning.
Thompson’s cause of death was ruled to be from cardiovascular disease, according to PEOPLE. Lynn collected $30,000 in insurance following his death.
Investigation
Lynn probably thought she got away with it, but behind the scenes, Glenn’s former colleague, Archer, was pushing for an investigation. The families of both victims felt the same way, and they asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to get involved. Five months after Thompson’s death, they started looking into the two deaths.
The GBI investigation revealed the truth, both men died from antifreeze poisoning. Both of their causes of death were changed to homicide. Lynn was arrested for Glenn’s murder in November 2002, according to PEOPLE.
Legal Proceedings
Lynn went to trial maintaining her innocence, but the evidence against her was overwhelming, and she was convicted of Glenn’s murder on May 14th, 2004. She was sentenced to life in prison.

She went to trial for Thompson’s murder in 2007, and according to CBSNews, the prosecution was seeking a death sentence. Lynn was once again convicted, but the jurors didn’t want to send her to death row. She was given an additional life sentence, which was set to be served consecutively with her first life sentence.
Suicide Behind Bars
According to CBSNews, Lynn was 42 years old and serving her life sentences at Metro State Prison in DeKalb County, Georgia, when she was found unresponsive in her cell on August 30th, 2010. She could not be revived and passed away.
When the news first broke, Lynn’s mother told the media that she had recently visited the prison with Lynn’s children. She claimed that as the visit was ending, Lynn said, “Momma, those girls are going to get me. I just know they will.”
Lynn was sharing a cell with other inmates, but ultimately, foul play was ruled out. The GBI ruled in September 2010, that she had purposely taken a fatal amount of the prescription medical propranolol, which the MayoClinic says is used to treat high blood pressure. Her death was ruled a suicide.
